  20. I've recieved several "Undeliverable Message" responses to this post so I'll
  21. try again.

  23. I've given up on the idea of purchasing an Alpha system for financial
  24. reasons. Actually there is another reason that led me to this decision. Being
  25. an Amiga user in Brasil sure ain't easy. There aren't many people you can turn
  26. to for support, not to mention if the machine breaks down (I've been lucky
  27. till now and I myself have been able to fix any problems that came up). Now
  28. that I have the need and the opportunity to change platforms, being alone
  29. again doesn't seem to be a wise decision. Plus, being that 060 cards for the
  30. Amiga are soon to be seen on the market, I believe that I will be able to meet
  31. my deadlines. So I've decided that Pentium running Windows NT is my only
  32. option. Now before I actualy go out and buy the Pentium system, I have a few
  33. questions:

  35.   1. Is it possible to network the Pentium system to an Amiga 3000? The
  36.   main reasons for this are NTSC output (I have a toaster), and HD
  37.   capacity. 
  38.  
  39.   2. If this is a possibility, what do I need (hardware and software) on
  40.   both sides to acomplish it? If possible, name manufactureres, point out
  41.   best options and why.
  42.  
  43.   3. Will I be able to access a CD-ROM drive hooked to the Pentium from
  44.   the Amiga?
  45.  
  46.   4. Will I be able to access a 1 Gb hard drive hooked to the Amiga from
  47.   the Pentium?
  48.  
  49.   5. Are serial and paralel ports shareable?
  50.  
  51.   6. If I buy another Pentium in the near future, will I be able to add it
  52.   to the network?
  53.  
  54.   7. Will I have to buy one copy of LightWave for each machine or is there
  55.   a network option? What if the network is multi-platform?
  56.  
  57.   8. Will render distribution software like Plantation be able to work on
  58.   a multi-platform environment?
  59.  
  60.   9. Do I have to dedicate one computer as a network server?
  61.  
  62.   10. Will I be able to save frames directly from LW PC to the hard drive in
  63.   the Amiga?
